In this exciting one-day workshop, you’ll explore painting and Monotype printing with R&F Oil Pigment Sticks and R&F Drawing Oils . These materials offer the freedom to discover oil painting while building up many layers using experimental techniques. Oil Pigment Sticks and Drawing Oils allow you to draw or paint directly on the surface without brushes, palettes, tubes or solvents. We’ll also explore creating Gelli plate Monotype prints which has a unique form of expression to create unique marks and imagery that can only be achieved using stencils, masks and texture tools. Monotype is the most painterly method among the printmaking techniques and is often called the “the painterly print”.
You will discover new tools and ways of working to create rich works on paper and Ampersand Encausticbord. All levels welcome.
